Begun in 1997, the "WoW" collection has been one of the most popular compilation CDs released every year. Combining 30 of the best songs of the past year (or sometimes several years), WoW has expanded into WoW Hits, WoW Worship, WoW Gospel and most recently WoW Christmas.
Two years ago, the first WoW Christmas was a huge success. This year, WoW Christmas green follows.
This CD features several songs you may already know - Point of Grace's, "Jingle Bell Rock," Amy Grant's "A Christmas to Remember" or NewSong's "The Christmas Shoes." But it also includes an incredible collection of never before heard songs. One such song is the incredible recording of "Joy to the World" done by powerhouse vocalist Natalie Grant or the addictive sound of Barlow Girl's "O Holy Night." Other highlights are Joy Williams soaring version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" or Bethany Dillon's "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," which is a unique, almost country sounding version of the traditional song.
I guess all that you can say is "Wow", this is a great collection (sorry for the obvious joke). This is a great way to hear Christmas done by your favorites, or just to get a great sample of what it out there. Either way, it is a Christmas collection that could fit anyone on your list.
