After listening to the first release from Molten Meditation, I was so impressed and inspired that I thought "Oh, I wish there were more albums like this".  So imagine my delight when, two years later, a second CD was announced.  And now, CD three has made it's way to my ears and I have received my wish.

When I was alerted to the fact that a third CD did in fact exist I was told by the series creator, Robin Vincent, that the CD had a "slightly different feel to it".  So after way too many delays I finally had a chance to plug in my iPod and take a good listen.

Oh, my.

The "slightly different feel" is due largely in part to co-writer and singer Hannah-Claire Cameron.  And although the first two releases were stunning, the addition of Cameron's lovely voice is absolutely wonderful.  The first two releases relied heavily on pleasant music that played for about ten minutes while a soothing voice (with a lovely British accent) read a selected scripture several times in that ten minutes.  The intent was for you to take a few moments out of the day to meditate on the scripture and be refreshed by the music.  That much hasn't changed, but now some songs open and end with a short praise and worship line sung by Cameron, while other songs let you hear her voice in the background of the instrumental music.

Scriptures covered this time are Psalm 130:1-8 (Out of the Depths), 1 John 5b-7 (God is Light), 1 Peter 2:9 (God is Light), Isaiah 61:1-3 (Good News to the Poor), Matthew 22:37-40 (Love the Lord Your God), and Matthew 28:16-20 (I Am With You Always)

For those of you that loved the instrumental music with scripture verses interspersed, you must get a copy of this release.  But be prepared for a "slightly different feel" - which is an "enormously wonderful change".
