Chris Tomlin has written and recorded some of the most loved, recognized and sung worship songs in praise music today.  He began with the overwhelmingly popular song "Forever" and then followed it by "Enough" and "Famous One".  By album number three we'd seen the hits grow - both in popularity and in number since each album produced more hits than the previous one had.  By now Chris was known for songs like "Indescribable", "Holy is the Lord", and "How Great is Our God".  And most recently Chris added more signature songs to his record like "Awesome is the Lord Most High", "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)", "How Can I Keep From Singing" and "Made to Worship".  You would think it couldn't get any better.

Think again.

With each album I couldn't imagine how Chris could possibly write anything better for worship services and yet with every album the songs just get better.  "Hello Love" continues that tradition well, beginning with the lead-off track "Sing Sing Sing", a song with a very likeable chorus and meaningful lyrics that will no doubt be a new favorite of worship leaders.  The album continues with the slower "Jesus Messiah" - just imagine the story of Christ's sacrifice for us lifted right out of scripture and put to music and you'll see how powerful this song will be.  And after this moving song, get ready because the song that follows "You Lifted Me Out" shows a slight departure for Chris with a more electric guitar driven, drum heavy song.  But the standout track on the album is "Praise the Father, Praise the Son".  Immediately the song sweeps the listener into an intimate moment of worship.  The lyrics and the background music (which in the beginning reminds me a of an organ playing in church) bring to mind the quality of old hymns and the blend is absolutely wonderful.

The album ends much like his previous one did - with a familiar hymn given a new twist for praise and worship music.  Like "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" Chris takes a much-loved hymn and stays true to its beauty while adding his own lyrics to make a lovely medley.

Once again, an absolutely wonderful offering from this multi-talented worship leader.  If you have loved anything that Chris has done in the past then you will love this CD.  And if this is what Chris did to top his last album, I can't imagine what might be coming next.
