His lyrics sound like something Chris Tomlin would write while his guitar-driven melodies bring to mind a Jeremy Camp album.  But comparisons aside, Jeff Johnson is an very talented worship artist who stands alone with his own impressive talent.

Each song on this CD is a beautiful, fresh, modern worship song that could easily fit into any worship service in America .  Some of the highlights include Jeff’s approach to the hymn “Old Rugged Cross” – while staying true to the beauty of the song he brings a moving interpretation, sung with a great deal of passion.  He also shines “God over Us” the upbeat, worship-filled opening track.  Another song worth mentioning is his version of “So High.”  This familiar worship song is given new life with Jeff’s beautiful spin on it – guaranteed to become a favorite all over again.

Don’t be afraid to give this CD a listen – it is well worth your time.  This collection of songs will bless you and bring you to a place of worship.  Definitely an album that needs to be in your collection, even more so if you are a worship leader.
