Imagine if we had a Christian music blender and you could produce your own
artists based on what style of music you liked. Well, throw in the
passionate worship of Chris Tomlin - add a little bit of the worship style of
Twila Paris. Oh, don't forget the secret ingredient of the classical voice
of "You Raise Me Up" vocalist Josh Groban. Mix it together and
you have new artist Jason Catron.
Jason draws on his past influence of being a Christian music manager for a large
amount of his career path. Singing since a young age, Jason was
classically trained and has produced a great debut CD. Several of the song
lyrics come right out of scripture and provide a beautiful collection by this
new artist. His strong vocals provide an awesome worship experience.
The highlight of the album for me is in the song "I Did Not Know the
Man." Telling the powerful story of Peter's denial of Jesus, the song
illustrates Peter saying that he "Did not know the man" Jesus.
Some of the lyrics are:
Time and time and time again / I relived the pain of my betrayal /
Little did I know that soon I'd see / The truth of my denial
There from a distance I could see him / As he hung there on the cross /
In that instant I saw Jesus / Reveled as who he was /
I felt his mercy reach me / As I witnessed all it cost
Until then I did not know the man
The album is full of powerful songs like these. Jason has a great, scriptural
full message to share. Check out http://www.jasoncatron.com for more -
