Tammy has several new projects coming out soon! The first is a
DVD,
which releases later this month. It includes both of Tammy's 700 Club
interviews, and music videos for "Welcome Home," "My
Irreplaceable," and "Father God."
The second project that Tammy is working on is a book, available in June,
2004. It's called "Learning to Breathe Again: Choosing Life and
Finding Hope After a Shattering Loss."
The third project is a devotional that she is involved in. The devotional
is called "Blessings at the Well" and it has various authors like
Kathy Troccoli, Luci Swindoll, CeCe Winans, Liz Curtis Higgs and others.
Here is a little excerpt of Tammy's devotion:
"Lord, Send Me an Angel" By Tammy Trent
Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5,
Amplified)
..."Something was terribly wrong. Trent, free diving in Jamaica's Blue
Lagoon, had not come up for air. After 45 minutes, I began to worry. After an
hour, I was frantic. Rescue divers began searching for him. I went in the back
of the restaurant at the Blue Lagoon, where I found myself lifting my hands
towards heaven, crying out to God to help me. I stayed at the Blue Lagoon the
entire time that they searched for Trent. After three hours, they had to call
off the search because it was getting dark. That night, they took me to the
nearby home of two doctors. I was up all night talking to family, friends and
pastors.
On the morning of Sept. 11, they
recovered the body of my husband, Trent, from the Blue Lagoon. He died of
multiple contusion to the back of his head"....
This book is available now at
http://www.lifetoday.org
The fourth project is a collection of essays written by Christian artists,
Tammy among them. Others include Sara Groves, Jason Perry, Ginny Owens,
Gloria Gather and more. Here is part of Tammy's chapter:
"It's Not About Me" By Tammy Trent
..."I remember falling to the floor screaming and crying. All I could say
was, "Jesus, what happened? Trent, baby, what happened? What went wrong?
How could this possibly be good for my life? What do I do now? What am I
supposed to do?" All our lives Trent and I had looked to God for guidance,
for wisdom, for comfort. And so, even though my heart was breaking and I
couldn't
understand how He would allow such a thing to happen, I knew I didn't want to
run away from God. Desperate to cling to the only thing I knew was true, I found
myself crying out to Him, "There are a million questions, and I donšt
understand any of this." As my body ached with sadness and confusion, I
just kept asking God to remind me that He was real"...

September 14 2001
It is with the deepest sympathy that I report the
fact that Tammy's husband of over ten years, Trent Lenderink, was tragically
killed recently. Here is the official statement from Tammy's official website:
URGENT:
I have very sad news to report. Tammy's husband, Trent, was involved in a diving
accident during the missions trip to Jamaica. He went diving, but never
returned. After about 15 hours of the search crew looking for him, he was
found...but he had died. They are not sure what caused the death at this point.
I am in shock...as many people are. Please spread the word so that as many
people as possible can be praying for Tammy and their families and friends.
Tammy needs us now... Pray that God will give her an abundance of
strength...Heavenly Strength...to get through these next hours, days, and months
that she has ahead of her. Also be praying that she will be able to get the rest
that she needs in order to get through the days ahead. THANK YOU!!
