Hey! I'm so sorry for not writing sooner. Life has been so wonderfully hectic lately! Because... I'm working on my new album set to release in July, I'm writing songs for it, getting ready to head out on the road this spring, AND...as many of you may have already heard, I'm planning a wedding in June! I AM ENGAGED!

My fiance's name is Nate. We've known each other for over a year now. (We met when some of our friends got together and set us up *grin*.) He's 22 years old, born in Rhode Island and moved around a lot like I have. (His father is a colonel in the National Guard). My love is currently finishing up a Music Business Degree at MTSU and is working full time at Inpop Records as Director of Radio Promotions. He's part Italian, part English...part Angel and a whole lotta Answer to Prayer. *smile*

Want to hear the engagement story? *smile* I flew into see Nate's family in Utah a few days before Christmas. Nate had been battling the Nashville flu and was still ailing when he and his family picked me up from the airport. Needless to say, my wonderful friend was not feeling so wonderful. On Christmas Eve, he was still not feeling better. So after he'd run a few last-minute shopping errands, he went straight to bed (at 4pm). Hours later, while his family and I had a blast watching Christmas movies and baking, Nate tried to get up again. But the fever still lingered. It was back to bed for him!

His younger brothers tapered off to bed around 11pm, along with Dad. *smile* But his Mom and I stayed up talking until 1am to welcome Christmas! Soon after, however, we thought some sleep of our own was in order. I hopped into my bedroom for that week and dozed off. But some time later, I heard my doorknob opening. There, standing with a candle in hand and a smile on his face, was Nate. (Apparently all that sleep finally quelched the sickness from his body! *hooray*)...

He got down on both knees by my bed and told me that he loved me. Then, a moment later, he asked if I would grant him the honor of allowing him to serve me for the rest of my life! *huge grin* Who could say no to a request like that??? *laugh*

Ladies, if any of you are becoming synics out there, becoming hardened by the fact that you believe there are no longer good men roaming this planet, let me be the first to tell you... great men of God still exist!

For a long time, I thought (and even at times DESIRED) that marriage wasn't going to be for me. I met guy after guy who had his eyes fixed on himself and not on Christ. I was tired of men who'd forgotten the ways of chivalry and sensitivity. I didn't think they made men like Nate anymore... But let me tell you. This man serves me to no end! Opens every door, pulls out every chair, walks me on the inside of the sidewalk, etc. He PRAYS! He's read and continues to read the Word to where it becomes evidenced in His life. He makes me laugh so hard I think my stomach will explode. He softens my sometimes stubborn spirit and accepts me as I am. He is truly my best friend.

Keep pressing on! Don't settle! As my high school mentor used to say, "In a world of margarine or butter, wait for your butter!" *grin* I told God that I would be patient for the day He allowed me to meet the man that most closely exhibited Christ's love to me. And Nate is this gift from Heaven. My Butter! He has been and IS worth the wait!

Guys, if you're reading this, remember that Jesus is the perfect example of how to love a soul. Love a woman accordingly. Do not take from her, but seek to give in the ways of purity and selflessness. Also wait. Because she will be worth it!

I am sitting here in Nashville watching the snow flurries fall today. I was sitting in the studio this morning in preparation for next week's recording. We start official recording MONDAY!! I've been working hard on the new album, writing...praying and singing. Could use YOUR prayers for all this stuff, too!

And before I go, I wanted to update you on my health. I know some of you have been asking, which I appreciate. I am feeling better! Little by little, with the wisdom from a Christian biochemist and nutritionist, I've been taking organic medications which have been stifling my symptoms. I can feel my body slowly getting it's energy back, and it's very exciting. I could still use your prayerful support in this area of my life, too.
