Real
Joyful, a Joy Williams fan site just posted new information about
Joy's new album. There is no title yet, but four song titles
are: "Genesis," "Silence," "God Only
Knows," and "Child of Eden."
Joy has been quoted as saying that the album will sound like this:
"Sonically, people have described it as having a freshness, a cool
"Euro" feel with a kiss of the "80's," a strength in
guitars without angst, along with melodic hooks that have a pop
sensibility."
Joy has written several songs (some with new artist Matt Kearney) and is
trying to decide which will make it onto her new album.
August 29, 2004
Joy's new album, which was supposed to release this year,
was postponed to next year. Joy's website says that the reason it was
postponed is that Joy switched management and switched booking agencies.
Plus, Joy was married in June, so everything together slowed down the album
process. Watch for it sometime early next year.
