News from 2001...

March

Jody sings a song on the Left Behind soundtrack called "Midnight Cry."  Cherie becomes engaged
to California police officer Kevin Adams.  Nikki (former member) gets ready to marry Adam Anders
on May 5, 2001.  Janna talks to CCM Magazine about the new album:

"We're really excited about the new album, and I think it's probably one of the best things we've
done yet.  I had some family and friends listen to a couple of the songs over Christmas and at
first they thought 'Wow, this is kind of different for Avalon.'  But then by the end of the record
they were like, 'Although it is a little different, it is very signature of what you guys do.'  I think
there are some songs on the album that have a little more of an organic flavor to them, and there
are other songs that are very straight ahead, funky pop.  So there's a little bit of everything."
The first two singles will be "The Glory" (on AC) and "Make it Last Forever" on CHR).  All song
titles are confirmed.  Rumors floated around that two titles were "Ever Closer" and "The Aroma of
Christ" (duet with Nikki) but Sparrow says they do not exist.
May

The next single, "Wonder Why" is confirmed to release soon.  Avalon is schedule to perform "By
Heart, By Soul" on the Dove Awards this month.
