Another Time, Another Place is now in stores, even after several release date changes.  But the biggest news for Avalon is that they now have a new member!  Jeremi Richardson has joined the group.  He is an amazing vocalist who has fit right in with the group.  Jeremi has begun to tour with Avalon and will appear on their next studio album.

Avalon's live DVD is now available (earlier than expected!) and can only be purchased at Family Christian Stores.  Also make sure you have your copy of their awesome new CD "Another Time, Another Place."

Avalon is finishing up work on their new CD.  It will be a collection of classic Contemporary Christian music songs previously made popular by other artists and is called "Another Time, Another Place: Timeless Christian Classics.  Songs include First Call's "The Reason We Sing," 4Him's "The Basics of Life," Amy Grant's "El Shaddai," Steven Curtis Chapman's "For the Sake of the Call," Twila Paris' "God is In Control," and the Sandi Patty/Wayne Watson hit, "Another Time, Another Place."  They will also be covering songs by Michael W. Smith and Steve Green, but those titles have not been announced.  If I was to guess I would say the songs might be "Friends" and "People Need the Lord."  The cover and final track listing will be added when available.  It releases September 18, 2007.

Avalon also recently announced some big news.  Jody McBrayer, one of the founding members announced he was leaving the group due to health reasons.  He will be on the new CD and will continue to tour this fall.  Avalon is currently seeking his replacement.

Avalon is getting ready to release two major projects this year!  First, be watching for a brand new live DVD coming this summer.  Also, Avalon recently went back into the studio to begin working on a new album.  More news will be added on both of those when available.

Greg and Janna's second daughter was born October 13, 2006.  Her name is Julia James Long.  She was 7 lbs, 7 oz and was 20 inches long.  Congratulations to the whole family!

Congratulations to Melissa and husband Ben on the birth of their son, Cole Hutchinson Greene!  They will call him Hutch and he was born July 30, 2006 and was 6 lbs, 2 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Also, the CD that Janna contributed to, "Sing Over Me: Worship Songs and Lullabies" is in stores now!  Buy a copy here and read my review here.

It looks like Avalon will be releasing their hymns album on October 17, 2006.  In other news, Janna is on the upcoming album "Sing Over Me: Worship Songs and Lullabies."  This beautiful CD has Janna singing on several songs and is a very impressive CD.  Look for it on August 1, 2006.

Big news!  Janna and Greg just announced that Janna is pregnant for the second time and is due October 25, 2006!  Congratulations to Janna, Greg and Lilli Long!  In other baby news, Melissa announced that she's having a boy!  Her due date is in August.  Please pray for both ladies.  In addition, Avalon is finishing up work on their hymns album, due for release later this year.  Songs that have been confirmed so far: "In Christ Alone" and "How Great Thou Art."  We will be adding more information when available, so keep watching this page for more news and the cover!

Jody just announced that Avalon will soon begin work on a new album!  It will be a hymns album and he mentioned that one of the songs will be "How Great Thou Art."  Fans who have enjoyed the hymns Avalon has done in the past (on "Avalon" - "My Jesus I Love Thee" and on "My Utmost For His Highest" video - "All Hail the Power") know that Avalon can give hymns an awesome new spin.  More information will be added when available.

In addition, Avalon recently recorded the worship song, "Indescribable" for the new Wow Worship Aqua album which comes out April 4, 2006.  To view and purchase the album click here.

Melissa recently announced that she and Ben are expecting their first child!  "Baby Greene" will be arriving in August.  Congratulations to both of them!

In other news, Avalon's first single, "Love Won't Leave You" is out now - call and request it!

Avalon's new album, "Stand" has been confirmed for a January 24, 2006 release date.  Comments about some of the songs can be found by clicking here so you can get an idea for what the album will sound like.  The track listing that has been released so far can be found here.  More information and photos will be added when available, so keep checking back.

October 4 2005
Janna recently posted an update on the official website about the new album.  She mentioned one of their new songs called "When the Time Comes."  She calls it "a beautiful song that I'm privileged to sing lead on.  It's about finally coming to a place of readiness to receive from God...giving up control...the song says, 'there's no more pretending, all charades are done.'  We don't have to play games with God.  He knows it all anyway."  The album releases in January, 2006.  It will be called "Stand."

September 5 2005
Avalon's new album has been postponed until January of 2006.  Also, the title of the album may be changed.  More information will be added when available.

July 22 2005
According to the Avalon Fan Clan, Avalon's new CD has been postponed to October 4, 2005 (just a week).  When asked why, Janna responded that they are searching for the perfect songs to make it an awesome album.

It's still tentative, but right now it looks like Avalon's new CD will be called "The Other Side" and will be released on September 27, 2005.  More information will be added when available.

May 25 2005
Congratulations to Jody and Stephanie McBrayer on the birth of their first child!  Sarah-Clayton McBrayer was born on Tuesday May 24, 2005.  She was 5 lbs and 13 ounces.  Stephanie and Sarah-Clayton are doing great.  According to the Avalon Fan Clan, Jody is "so excited that he can hardly stand it."

 Avalon's new album will be releasing September 27, 2005.  The first single will be released to radio in July.  Please note that these dates are subject to change.  More information will be added when available.
