FULL NAME:  Robin Leigh Cappillino (Darby was my maiden name)

BORN WHERE AND WHEN:  Belton, S.C. April 18, 1969

FAMILY:  Husband, Dana (married in 1992) and daughter, Darby Mae (born December 7, 2002)

COLLEGE:  I graduated from Anderson College in S.C. with Fine Arts degree in Vocal Performance and went on to finish a with a BA in Religion at Charleston Southern University.

FIRST JOB:  Waitress for my father's restaurant

LAST JOB BEFORE BECOMING A MUSIC ARTIST:  Dillard's (handbags and hosiery)

FAVORITE FOOD:  Right now...my Zone bars, especially the choc. peanut butter

Believing, then purchasing "Hollywood Juice" (a diet drink)..."they" claimed you could lose 7 pounds in a week, all you had to do was drink it...what a joke!!

CD YOU'VE WARPED FROM PLAYING TOO LONG:  I have not warped a CD in a long time...but many years ago, it would have been "Change Your World" by Michael W. Smith

PERSON YOU'D MOST LIKE TO MEET:  Regis, he seems to be a really sweet guy and I find him extremely interesting.

ITEM YOU'D RISK BLISTERS TO GET:  Not sure how to answer that...I'm not one of those people that absolutely LOVE something so bad that I would risk any action of pain to get it, but if I have to answer, I would say any sort of jewelry from Tiffany's.

FAVORITE VOCALISTS:  I love so many, from Dan Dean of PCD to Christie Nockels of Watermark. I enjoy Bonnie Raitt in the secular world as well as the band Train. To be honest, there are not many artists that I do not like, because each one can be appreciated for there particular style of music... these are just the ones off the top of my head. I could have a list a mile long, but not enough time.

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT:  Thanks to counseling, I have forgotten them all (HAHAHAH)

BEST DATE:  Walking through the city of Budapest, Hungary with my future husband

PET PEEVE:  When people park so close to the line that when you open your car door, you end up hitting theirs; and people that slam the over head bins on an airplane (especially when my child is sleeping).

IF MUSIC WASN'T YOUR CAREER, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'D BE DOING:  Something in regards to decorating or fashion

F U  N  F A C T S:


~ Leigh became a Christian at a young age and began singing in the youth choir.  Music was the focus on her education - Leigh holds a degree in Vocal Performance from Anderson College and a Bachelor of Arts in religion from Charleston Southern University.

~ Leigh has been in three groups before Point of Grace.  The first was Truth in the early 1990s.  She recorded three albums with them - "Equation of Love," "Something to Hold On To" and "You Are Emmanuel"  The second group was KarenLeigh, which she formed with a good friend from Truth, Karen Childers.  KarenLeigh released one album together and it enjoyed some radio success with the songs "Save it For a Rainy Day" and "This Love Has".  The third group was the Women of Faith.  She has recorded multiple albums with them.

~ Leigh met Dana while they were both in Truth together

~ Leigh is also a highly sought-after background vocalist.  She has done work for Twila Paris, Avalon, Michelle Tumes, Phillips Craig and Dean, Carman, Watermark and many others.

~ Leigh's husband, Dana, has been Point of Grace's drummer for the past few years.
