HUSBANDS NAME/WHEN MARRIED: Joseph Bedell Bubar III (He goes by Joe) August 9, 1997

CHILDRENS NAMES/WHEN BORN: Joseph Bedell Bubar IV (He goes by Joey) August 11, 2002 and William Martens Bubar (He goes by Willy) January 5, 2004

FAMILY: I'm the oldest of 5 children. I was born and raised in Winnipeg, and everybody is still there except for one of my sisters who also married an American and currently lives in San Diego with her Marine husband and four children.

CURRENTLY IN YOUR CD PLAYER: In my car: Veggie Tales Sing-a-long (with my son's name Joey inserted throughout the songs), at home: Blott en dag by Carola. She's swedish, and I'm enjoying it very much! It's an album of hymns by Lina Sandel, the famous Swedish hymn writer who's known for writing "Day by Day" and "Children of the Heavenly Father"

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: giving birth

PET PEEVE: when people smoke, sitting on the tarmack forever

MOST EMBARRASSING CONCERT/LIFE EXPERIENCE: Actually, I have so many, it's hard to pick.

WHAT HAS GOD BEEN TEACHING YOU LATELY? So much! Where do I begin? Mostly that I need Him so desperately, I'm a miserable person when I don't spend time with Him.

FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE: Again, I have a lot of "favorites"!

FAVORITE COLOR: white, or is that not a color?

FAVORITE SINGERS: Barbara Bonney, Renee Fleming, and Lucia Popp, all opera singers as well as Sarah McLaughlin (fellow Canadian), Susan Ashton (she has an incredible voice!), Peter Gabriel (very cool artist... his latest live concert DVD is what our worship should look like... creative, passionate, honest and everyone is singing their hearts out)

FAVORITE BOOKS/AUTHORS: Anne Lamott and her book "Traveling Mercies", Annie Dillard and her book "Teaching a Stone to Talk" Madeleine L'Engle--LOVE HER! All of her fiction and non-fiction, especially, "Walking on Water", Mike Mason, especially "The Mystery of Marriage" and "The Mystery of Children", "A Severe Mercy" by Sheldon Vanauken, Psalms, Henri Nouwen, Frederick Buechner, and Eugene Peterson. Currently reading "Blue Like Jazz" by Donald Miller

FAVORITE PLACES: Puerta Vallarta, Mexico and home, of course!

FAVORITE SONG(S) ON YOUR ALBUMS: Tough One! On Bare My Soul, it would be You Alone, Gloria and Bare My Soul for a three-way tie and on the Hymns album, Immortal Invisible, although "It is well" has really been speaking to my soul lately

WHO ARE YOUR HEROES/ROLE MODELS: my mother--she teaches me what worship is all about

IF YOU WEREN’T SINGING, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING? I can't imagine doing anything else!! I don't see it as a distinctive in my life, but rather a part of everything I do. I sing while I shower, while I cook, while I change my baby's diaper, at church, in the car, on stage and in the living room!
