Beautiful Name
We wanted to write a song that boldly states our mission as Christians. "Beautiful Name" is meant to get people excited about their faith and to challenge and encourage Christians in their walk with Christ. This is a song that every Christian, no matter what denomination, can stand behind and agree with. The words of this song are a constant reminder to us of why we are here today. We have a calling on this earth and for the sake of the name of Jesus; we will stop at nothing until it is fulfilled. - Chrissy

You Get Me
Growing up I was always looking for somewhere to fit in. I longed for acceptance and a place
to belong. It always seemed like the harder I tried, the more I was let down. After I became a Christian, my focus changed drastically. I discovered a whole other side of life through Jesus. It was then that I realized how temporary this world is and how permanent eternity is. I found myself less concerned with fitting in with the world and more concerned with belonging to God. God is truly the only one who knows my thoughts before I think them. He's the only one who knew every day of my life before I even took my first breath. No one else but God could ever love me and accept me for who I am the way that He can. He's the only one who gets me. - Chrissy

Inside Out
This is a fun and light song, with an encouraging message of inner beauty. It shows a girl, who once only saw her worth in her outside appearance, beginning to discover the amazing qualities and gifts God has given her on the inside. God has made us all with unique talents and personalities. It's those beautiful qualities within us that make us who we are meant to be. The outside will fade, but what's inside of us stays. At the end of the day, that's all that matters. - Chrissy

Love Me For Me
This is a creative twist on relationships. Sometimes, in our search and need for acceptance from others, we can become something so foreign to who and what we really are, while trying to please them. In writing this song, we used the metaphor of a circus act to portray a girl caught in her own identity crisis. She feels like she's up on the trapeze on display, and everyone is not only watching, but they can see that she's not being true to herself. She's frustrated and tired of pretending. The voice of wisdom enters after each chorus and in the bridge saying, "There is someone who loves you for you." God loves us for who we are, and He doesn't play the games we play in human relationships nor does He string us along with lies or enforce unattainable expectations on us. No matter how insecure, imperfect, unfit or seemingly undesirable we are the fact that God still desires the most personal and intimate relationship with us is the greatest form of love and the truest example of acceptance. - Kristin

Unbroken
Sometimes you have to experience the depths of sorrow to recognize and appreciate the true fullness of joy. The Bible says in Eccl 1:18, "For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow." To truly be able to pray and talk and relate to one another on an everyday basis, we have to first endure the trials and heartaches that shadow that everyday life. It's a good thing to be a broken person! The depth of compassion, understanding and steadiness that are gained through trials is something I wouldn't trade for one tear that has ever fallen from my eyes. It's the most amazing growth experience to find out for yourself how far the arm of grace can truly extend. - Alisa

Wait
This song is a plea to someone who is considering suicide or some type of drastic decision based on the hopelessness they feel. How many times do we make rash decisions based on our emotions such as hurt, anger, desperation, and confusion? Such decisions can bring others and us a lifetime of heartache. There's not always a perfect and easy answer or solution for someone in such a state. They may need a counselor, a pastor, or a true friend, but more importantly they just need to get through the night. This song asks them to wait one more day before doing anything drastic.  Let the sun come up tomorrow, maybe just maybe things will be better. - Kristin

Feel Alright
This is such a fun song that's slightly tongue and cheek in the verses. Life and our culture are constantly bombarding us with choices, concepts, decisions, and distractions. This song is about throwing off all that occupies our minds and focusing on God. He waits at our door with freedom and the promise of a new day. Sometimes realizing that is all it takes to help us "Feel Alright". - Kristin

She
We have always felt an urgency to address issues in our songs that are relatable to real life, and present Godly, biblical answers to those issues. This is a song about a young girl in the church who gets pregnant. It’s a social commentary on how the church deals with this situation. It's so unfortunate that when something like this happens, other Christians can tend to shut someone out, or make an example of them. This is a challenge to Christians to sweep these girls up into their arms and find out what's going on in their hearts, and then nurse them back to health, just as Jesus would do. What would Jesus do? That's a great question for us all to continually ask ourselves, and hopefully this song will open the forum for that question to be asked more often. - Alisa

Contagious
This is a simple song that addresses the idea that if there is even one person that is excited and on fire with the things of God, that will catch on and infect other people. Just as every bonfire starts with one match, revival can start with one willing person who is filled with God's joy and love. We hope this song will encourage people to let the light shine in their lives, and not be afraid to let it shine! - Alisa

Different Kind of Free
"Different Kind of Free" is the title track for our album. This song has had a huge impact on us individually and we're hoping it will do the same for others. As Americans we've become so accustomed to freedoms of speech to religion and expression. Most people work their whole lives to achieve the "American Dream," and we are very blessed to have that liberty. But, the fact is that in life you just don't always know. No one is guaranteed tomorrow, and the very principles on which our country was founded - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness - could all be taken away in an instant. "Different Kind Of Free" speaks of a freedom that cannot be taken away - a freedom that is offered by no one but Jesus Christ. In the end, when all that we've worked for and held on to is gone, He is the lasting truth. The freedom He spoke so eloquently of, fought for, and died bringing us, is eternal. - Kristin

Life to Me
Some songs are written, others are birthed quite quickly. "Life To Me" is one of those songs that God just poured out of us. The music was written by Lynn Nichols and Tedd T, and when we heard it, we were so moved that we wanted to make sure that the lyric and melody did the music justice. We each took a copy of the music home, and prayed that God would tell us just what to say. When we got together the next day, we were full with a sense of anticipation and excitement about it. We all three had written almost the same melody, and all the lyric ideas worked together perfectly. This song is truly our heart's cry not only as Christians, but also as three young girls desiring God's perfect will and the fullness of His Spirit in our lives. We hope that this song will touch others as much as it has touched us. - Alisa
