One of These Days

is probably the most memorable moment on the record for most listeners. It is a bold reminder that what we experience here on earth is no where close to what the Lord has in store for His followers when we see Him face to face and He welcomes us into His Kingdom. It has proven to have powerful ministry impact on listeners.

Take Me As I Am

was one of the last songs to get picked for the record, but we're sure glad it made it. A few months before we started recording, we began performing 'Take Me' live in our acoustic set. Crowds loved singing along with the catchy melody, and started asking where they could find the song. So, when we began to pick the 10 songs for the record, 'Take Me' was thrown into the mix. We all enjoyed playing and singing the song so we decided to give the people what they want. 'Take Me as I am' is a simple, fun praise tune with lyrics that express an attitude of daily worship to Jesus Christ.

Fall To You

is probably the most moody and gritty song on the record. It talks about the 'prodigal son' experiences that many of us go through, and how when we finally turn around and chose to listen to the always-present voice of the Lord and follow His lead, He is there welcoming us back with open arms. Jesus never said taking up our cross and following Him would be easy, but what He did say is that He will never leave us or forsake us on that road. And when we fall, He is there to carry us.

I'm Alright

began to catch on long before we even began to plan for a new record. Jennifer began performing the tune in early 1997, and crowds immediately responded. It was the first time we had ever really showcased Jennifer on a lead, and people ate it up. So when it came time to record, I'm Alright was a 'no-brainer.' It's a simple song that rest firmly on Romans 8:28, and God's promise that He's got everything under control. It is a sincere statement of faith in the Lord's power and His promise that no matter where we go, no matter what we do, He loves us and everything's really going to be alright.

Big Fish

The Big Fish 'craze' all started in 1995 when Jennifer's mom called down to Nashville and, during a phone conversation with Jennifer, told her that I needed to write a song called 'are You in the Big Fish.' So I did, never thinking that anyone but Jennifer and some close friends would ever hear it. It wasn't until the next year when we were in the middle of recording our independent 'Called a Christian' record and we began to run out of time, songs, and money, that the idea of actually putting Big Fish on tape ever emerged. But somehow an acappella version of the song made it onto the record and the record made it onto the desks of a couple of program directors in PA and Big Fish hit the airwaves. After only 6 weeks Big Fish reached #1 on local stations and people began showing up at our gigs with fish hats, fish signs, and even fish crackers. And when it came time to record the new record, Scott took a listen to Big Fish, and persuaded us to rerecord the tune with a live band. So we did, and audiences everywhere are embracing the song.

So Is His Love

is the only song on the record that we didn't write, and honestly, we didn't really want to record it in place of an original. But our producer, Scott, persisted and we began to see how powerful the song really is. So is His Love is a simple, straight up, praise song that speaks of the Lord's majesty and wonder. It has become our concert opener and one of our favorite songs on the record. Thanks Scott!

Breathe In Me

is the first song we recorded for the record and one of my personal favorites. It is an urgent outcry to God expressing a need for a renewal; a fresh breathe of the Holy Spirit. As Christians, we sometimes find ourselves broken, literally walking around in spiritual circles needing an outpouring of the Holy Spirit to make us new again. That is the premise behind Breathe in Me.

Little Change

was one of the most difficult songs on the record to write, and an even harder one to interpret. It talks about that uneasy spot that many of us find ourselves in when we realize that we have chosen our own will over God's and begin to feel His conviction. But, like Fall to You, the song also speaks about God's relentless hand of love and mercy that is always reaching out to pull us back to Him. All we need to do is chose to listen to His voice and turn around and follow.

Power in His Blood

is the oldest song on the record and probably the most intimate and heartfelt song as well. It is a one-on-one conversation with the Lord, acknowledging His presence, power, and majesty. It also speaks of the peace and joy we find in the Holy Spirit, and the strength and love we find in God's everlasting arms
