When I Praise

(1 Pet 2:9, Ps 22:3, 1 Tim 2:8) "The Bible is clear about how pleased God is when we praise Him. If fact, we read in Psalms that God actually inhabits the praises of His people. It is comforting to know that no matter what situation we might find ourselves in, we can lift our hearts to the Lord in praise and He will meet us in a special way."

Found a Place

(Rom 12:1-2, Matt 11:28-29, 1 John 3:19) "When Michael came to Nashville from Oklahoma to join FFH he was on his own with nowhere to stay. So Jennifer and I gladly offered him our spare bedroom until he got settled into a place of his own. It took almost a month for Michael to get moved into his apartment, but I wouldn't give that time back for the world. During that month, he and I got a chance to really get to know each other, and to create lots of music together. One night, while Jennifer and I were watching TV, Michael called me into my office to listen to a song he was writing. An hour later 'Found a Place' was finished, and in the back of my mind I knew that what was written on those scraps of notebook paper was the title track to the record we were about to start. 'Found a Place' is about finding yourself in God's will and experiencing all the blessings that come with it. The rest, the Love, the assurance, the sold out abandon to the Father; all are things we experience when we surrender to the will of God and allow Him to have his way in our lives."

Why Do I

(Rom 1:20, 2 Thes 3:3, Jas 1:17) "There are times in my life when the unconditional love of God has is hard for me to understand and even harder to believe. It is in these times when the Lord allows me to look back at the way He has orchestrated my life and guarded my steps. He shows me all that He has done for me and the perfect gifts I've been given. God has proven Himself to be overwhelmingly loving and faithful, even in the hard times. Sometimes I wonder why it is so hard for me to accept that Love with all the ways God has proven it to me."

Lord Move, or Move Me

(Rom 8:26-27, Jas 1:2-3) "Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where our faith is tested, almost to the breaking point. Even our prayers don't come easy. It is in these rock-and-hard-place situations that the Lord works His miracles. 'Lord Move or Move Me' is about finding yourself in a place of unrest and then asking the Lord to do whatever it takes to get you back in the center of His will."

Daniel

(Dan 6, Ex 14) "Daniel' is the first song Michael ever played for Jennifer, Brian, and I when he came to Nashville to spend some time with us before joining FFH. We heard it and immediately knew it was a song we needed to record. Daniel is one of those songs everyone can relate to and enjoy. It brings to life our bible school heroes and how we can look back and let their faith in hard times be an encouragement to us as believers."

Your Love is Life to Me

(Acts 17:25, John 14:6, Eze 47) "If there's one thing that FFH has learned over the past few years it is that we are nothing without the Love of God. God provides the air that we breathe, the food that we eat, and the bed's which we sleep on. We are totally dependent on the Father for everything - whether we realize it or not. 'Your Love is Life to Me' is a love song to the Father; acknowledging Him for who He is, and praising Him for creating and sustaining us."

Because of Who You Are

(Rom 1:20, Phi 2:10-11, Rev 1:8) "God reveals himself to us in many different ways. From the creation of the world, to our salvation, God is constantly moving around us, and at the same time, displaying His love for us. 'Because of Who You Are' is about praising the Father for who He is, thanking Him for what He has done, and looking forward to what He has in store for us."

Be My Glory

(Ps 3:3) "This past summer, while ministering with some friends in Orlando, we had the opportunity to meet Jason Dukes and spend some time at his home after a concert. After dinner, Jason asked if I would take a listen to a song he had written. What I heard blew my mind. I knew immediately that 'Be My Glory' needed to be recorded. The next day we performed the song for our friends at TIME International at their camp in Miami. The response was confirmation that 'Be My Glory' had to be included on our next record."

I'm Not Afraid to Love You

(Mark 10:45, Luke 10:27, Matt 16:24) "Jesus was not only the greatest example of love ever to walk the earth, He was Love. Yet he came not to be served but to serve. It's a simple concept - to love is to serve. 'I'm Not Afraid to Love You' talks about coming to the sometimes painful realization that you desperately need the Lord, trusting Him with your heart, and then loving and serving Him with all that you are. "

It's Been a Long Time

(Luke 15:11-32, Rev 3:20) "There are times in our Christian walk when we allow the things of this life get in the way of our intimate relationship with the Lord. It is in these prodigal times when God comforts us with the truth that he will never leave us or forsake us. He waits patiently for our repentance, and when we realize our sin, he runs to meet us with the open arms of forgiveness. "

Every Now and Then

(Pro 16:18, Jas 1:9, Matt 14:29:31, Matt 11:28-30) "Every Now and Then' is about going through the valley of pride to get to the mountaintop of humility. It's about realizing that even your very best is not good enough to sustain you and that you are nothing without the Father. It is about being reminded of, and then finding comfort in, the unconditional love of God."
