My Heart is Set On You

This song is written by Jeff and Gayla Borders. They really got the whole vision for the Girls of Grace worship album. We wanted the songs to be written with teenage girls in mind and this is a great example of this. This song is about setting our life’s focus on the Lord. Always striving to live a life that is honoring to God in all we do.

You Are My All in All

Dennis Jernigan wrote this song and it was performed by Nichole Nordeman. They are both two of our favorites. Nichole was very excited about being a part of this project. We wanted to incorporate some familiar songs along with the new songs on the album. This one happened to be one of the first on our list of songs. Nichole did an amazing job with an already amazing song.

Breath of God

I loved singing "Breath of God" because it expresses the holiness of God. I think it is so important as a young teenage girl to know that God is "endless in power and mercy," as the song says. It is so important to have a friendship with God and a relationship with Jesus, just as it is important to understand the awesome, holiness of God our Father. This song says "Breath of God, breathe on us, we adore You, come before You, to magnify Your name." This song is truly about worshipping our Heavenly Father and coming before Him to ask Him to show Himself to us. I pray that the young girls who are able to hear it would make it their prayer and that it could be a tool for them to communicate with a God whose power, love and mercy is ENDLESS for them each day. - Christy Nockles, Watermark

Every Move I Make

It was such a pleasure for us to be involved in the Girls of Grace project. Ministry to young women is an extremely important part of who we are, and we’re so thankful for the opportunity partner with the wonderful women in Point of Grace and lead girls into worship. There is such a need to truly come to the place in our lives where we realize that every step we take is a gift from God. When we understand that, we can take advantage of every opportunity to live for him and allow him to "make us move" - Lisa Kimmey, Out of Eden

All I’ll Ever Need

This is another song beautifully crafted by Jeff and Gayla Borders. The idea was birthed from several parts of Psalm 139. The Psalmist writes "O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways...Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?...How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them?" All of these verses are messages that we all need to hear, especially teenage girls who struggle with their identity and their place in life. It is a reminder to all of us that He is with us and that He loves us no matter what.

Promise My Prayers

As a fan of Point of Grace it was an honor itself to work with them. Also as a young teenage girl I feel like it is important to have something like this project that is aimed directly at us to be inspired by I have always found it easier to hear advice from girls who are Christians and understand the challenge of being just that - a young Christian girl. I have no doubt that God has some big plans for this project. It was a great honor and I hope that it will go far. - Rachael Lampa.

In the Calm

I love how this song brings you into a quiet, thoughtful state. Teenagers can be so full of energy that we wanted a song where they would sit and be still to contemplate their relationship with God. Jennifer Deibler (from FFH) was on tour with us all last year and is a precious friend. Her sweet voice is perfect for the tenderness of this song.

The Love of Christ

This song is fun and energetic. It also speaks of the vastness of Gods love for each of us. We sang this song with the girls choir and I love how it echoes back so naturally. It will be fun to sing live with the girls at our conferences.

Trust in the Lord

This song is scripture based on Proverbs 3:5-6. It is one of my favorite life verses. It is so honest and pure to sing Gods words back to Him. Jill and Jaci are friends of ours and share the same heart to help teenage girls today. They did a great job making the song come to life.

Live to Worship

"Live to Worship" sums up our mission as Christians. Our lives should be worshipful in all ways...how we live, in our friendships and relationships, even in how we dress. Worship is a way of life. Joy Williams was the opening performer at one of our shows in California. We love her heart for young girls and admire her spiritual maturity. She volunteered to contribute to the Girls of Grace ministry, and we immediately felt she would be a perfect fit for this song.
