As Jesus stated in John 15:5, “ I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit, he prunes, so that it will be ever more fruitful” (NIV) For Marianne Adams and Jennifer McReynolds, that has been their personal hearts cry. Both former members of the internationally known group, Sierra, the call to ministry has been felt in their lives for quite some time now. After touring in Sierra for many years, both ladies felt a call to stay at home to be the wives and moms that the Lord had called them to be. However, they believed that God would call them back to a singing ministry again. As they have entered a new season of their lives, the one thing that they would want people to know is that worshiping their Savior and Lord is their top priority.

As Marianne states it, “Our heart is to lead people in Worship. We want to take people into the presence of God so their hearts and minds are transformed. And in His presence they will find everything they need to abide and remain in Him”. Jennifer adds, “ I think that we are at a better place. We’ve been home being wives and moms. We’ve spent time resting in the Lord, praying and worshiping Him together. We’ve both been involved in our church worship teams, and it’s been a wonderful time of refreshing for us. It is almost like we are looking in the rear view mirror and seeing what God had brought us through. But now, we are looking forward to what lies ahead”.

Marianne and Jennifer reflect on their time in Sierra as a part of their past where God taught them some valuable lessons. It would be easy for them to consider having arrived with over a quarter of a million albums sold, fifteen Top 5 radio hits, seven of which attained the #1 spot. But as Jennifer states, “Our priority is to remain in the Lord first, on matter what kind of success we have in the worlds eyes”. “ I know the power of worship. I have experience it first hand in my own life. We both feel like the Lord is calling us to bring healing and the power of worship to the people”.

These two ladies, who love the Lord and His church, want to continue to seek the Lord to find out where they want Him to go. The ultimate cry of their heart is to Abide more in God.
