inspiration for "Mercy Said No" came to Greg when he was in church one
Sunday morning? "The pastor was talking about how we deserve the worst--all
that life and death without Christ is--but instead we get heaven," he says.
"Right in the nick of time, when Satan thought he had won, Mercy came in
and stopped the evil; Christ came through for our redemption. When the pastor said, ‘Mercy said NO,’ I was totally enveloped in that
thought. I think it’s incredibly comforting, but it also has somewhat of an
awakening element that reminds us of how much we have to be thankful for." * Did you know that Greg has toured with Kathy Troccoli, Becca Jackson, NewSong, Joy Williams, Jake, Erin O’Donnell, Phat Chance and many more? * Did you know that Greg has done a lot of ministry work in prisons? He says, "I’ve never committed a felony, but the truth is that if I were to die without Christ, and if the folks I talk with in prison die without Christ, we’ll end up in the same place." * Did you know that Greg became a Christian when he was four years old after hearing his dad preach a sermon on salvation? * Did you know that Greg wrote "Mercy Said No" and "We Love You Jesus" around the same time? * Did you know that Greg is married to Janna, 1/4 of the vocal group, Avalon?
