Q. What happened to Nikki Hassman, Cherie Adams, Michael Passons, Jody McBrayer and Melissa Greene?

A. Nikki sang with Avalon for their first two albums, then left the group to pursue a solo career with Sony.  It didn't work out, but she's still trying to get her CD out and is currently singing with her husband in the group Room For Two.  Cherie Adams replaced Nikki.  After three albums with Avalon, Cherie left to pursue a solo career - both singing and speaking.  Cherie has sung on a few compilation CDs, and her album released Spring, 2005.  She and her husband had their first child in early 2008.  Michael left to pursue some solo opportunities, but nothing has happened yet.  He can be spotted playing with various Christian music bands.  Jody left in 2006 due to some health problems.  Melissa left in 2009, around the time she had her second child.

Q. Are any of the members married?

A. Yes.  Janna Potter and Greg Long were married in May 13, 2000, long before Greg ever joined the group.  They have two daughters - Lillian Flowers (born May 2004) and Julia James (born October 2006).  Jeremi Richardson is married to Amy and they have a daughter named Ariah.  Former member Jody McBrayer is married to Stephanie. They tied the knot in March of 1999 and went to Hawaii on their honeymoon.  They have a daughter, Sarah Clayton McBrayer, born in May, 2005.  Former member Cherie Paliotta married Kevin Adams on July 29, 2001 and they had a son, Santiago Nicholas was born in January 2008. Former member Nikki Hassman married Adam Anders in May, 2001.  Melissa McLellan married Ben Greene in July, 2002 and thier son Cole Hutchinson (Hutch) was born July 2006.  They also have a daughter, Haven, born in summer 2009.  Michael Passons is still single.


Q. Does Avalon have any videos?  Where can I get them?
A. Yes. They made one for their #1 hit single, "In Not Of".  They also have a live in concert DVD called "Testify to Love".  "In Not Of" is featured on the WOW 2000 video collection, available in your local Christian book store or at christianbook.com.  The DVD is also at christianbook.com, or local Christian bookstores.  Their newest DVD release is called "Avalon Live: A Hits Collection" and it's available only from Family Christian Stores (or at familychristian.com)


Q. Were Jody, Janna and Melissa all in Truth together?
A. No.  Jody began with the group in the early 90s and continued with them until around 1995.  Janna joined in the mid-90s and stopped around 1995.  Melissa didn't join Truth until 2000.
