* Did you know that Avalon means "heaven"?  In medieval terms, heaven meant a place where kings and children of royalty would spend eternity.  And, as Christians, we are children of royalty and we are heirs to the throne.  One day we will spend eternity in heaven.

* Did you know that "Jesus Born on This Day" (from Avalon's Christmas CD, "Joy") was originally recorded by pop singer Mariah Carey? She also helped to write the song.

* Did you know that "Don't Save it All For Christmas Day" (from Avalon's Christmas CD, "Joy") was originally recorded by pop singer Celine Dion? She also was the co-writer.

 * Did you know that before she was in Avalon, Cherie was a teacher? She was also in a group called Soul'd Out.

* Did you know that Jody's wife Stephanie's maiden name was Harrison?

* Did you know that before Avalon was Avalon there were different members? Tabitha Fair and Rikk Kittleman toured with Avalon during the "Young Messiah" tour before Jody and Nikki were part of the group. Rikk left to pursue other things, and Jody came in. Tabitha left because she was offered a solo contract by three different labels and Nikki joined. Later, Nikki left to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Cherie.  Cherie has since been replaced by Melissa Greene.  Michael left and was replaced by Janna's husband Greg and Jody left and was replaced by Jeremi Richardson.

* Did you know that Rikk Kittleman (the guy who was in Avalon before Jody joined) wrote for the group? He co-wrote "Give it Up" and "Savior Love" for their debut album "Avalon".  And did you also know that Tabitha Fair (the lady who was in Avalon before Nikki joined) also wrote for the group? She co-wrote "Don't Be Afraid" and "Savior Love" for their debut album, "Avalon".
* Did you know that Stephanie (Jody's wife) and Greg Long (Janna's husband) sang background vocals on "Only For the Weak" on Avalon's album, "In a Different Light"?

* Did you know that three Avalon members were in another group before they were in Avalon? Jody McBrayer and Janna Long sang together in the popular vocal group Truth in the mid-90s, and Melissa Greene sang with the same group from 2000-2001.  Janna and Jody were featured on the album, "One."  They sang a duet in "When It's All I Can Do" and they each had a solo in "One" and "Trust."  They were also both on "Truth Sings the Word."  Janna sang "Ask, Seek, Knock" and Jody sang "For By Grace" and "My God Shall Supply."  Jody was also on the albums "Something to Hold On To" and "More Than You'll Ever Imagine."  On the former, he sang "You're the One He Loves" and "Somewhere in the Silence."  On the latter, he sings "So Far, So Good."  Melissa sang on the albums "Blessed" and "It's All About Grace."  On "It's All About Grace" she sings "Your Love" and "Where Your Glory Dwells."

* Did you know that Cherie Adams and Marianne Adams (Sierra) are related?  Kevin & Cherie met at Coury and Marianne's wedding.  Kevin and Coury are stepbrothers.
